Toei Games has announced its first slate of original games, marking a new step for the company after 75 years spanning film, television, dramas, and stage productions. The lineup includes Killa, Hino, and Debug Nephemee, with all three titles currently listed for PC via Steam.
Toei says the label will focus on original works built around strong characters, distinct worlds, and creator-driven ideas.
Killa Is a Mystery Adventure About Revenge
Killa is a 3D mystery adventure from Black Tangerine with multiple endings. The game follows Valhalla as she travels to an unknown island in search of the person who killed her mentor.
Set in a dark, puppet-show-inspired world, Killa gives players a “resonance” ability that lets them explore suspects’ memories and piece together fragments of dreams to uncover the truth.
Hino Brings Ballpoint Pen Art to a Dark Fantasy World
Hino is a 2D dark fantasy adventure from UnGloomStudio, built around artwork illustrated in ballpoint pen by artist Yatara. The game follows Hino and the Monimoni Skeleton as they travel through a shadow-covered world filled with monsters and traps.
Player choices will shape the story’s outcome, with multiple endings tied to the truth behind the world’s creation.
Debug Nephemee Focuses on Hacking Memories
Debu Nephemee is a top-down 2D adventure game from NephemeeStudio. Set in a place called Nepherum, the game follows a world infested with bugs that inhabit creatures called Nephemees.
Combat revolves around each Nephemee’s values and philosophies, with players attacking and hacking opponents to find traces of their memories and personalities.
Toei Games Starts With Original Works
All three games are coming to Steam, though release dates were not announced. Toei Games says its goal is to work with creators in Japan and abroad to bring original, creator-led stories to players.
