Anima Project has announced that Anima: Song from the Abyss will launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Set in the Anima: Beyond Fantasy universe, the dark fantasy action RPG blends pen-and-paper RPG influences with hack-and-slash combat.
Two Protagonists Descend Into the Abyss
Anima: Song from the Abyss begins aboard an imperial zeppelin after most of its crew suddenly vanish. Soren, the last surviving knight guarding the vessel, fights to protect a dangerous relic from a forgotten civilization.
After freeing an imprisoned entity named Noein, the zeppelin crashes into the Abyss. To survive, Soren must help Noein uncover the truth behind the song that is tied to the disappearance of an ancient civilization and to her eternal imprisonment.
Fast Combat and Open Exploration
Players will control and switch between Soren and Noein, each with their own abilities and gameplay style. The game features real-time combat, RPG progression, weapon forging, ability customization, and boss fights against creatures such as wyrms and legendary monsters.
The world is built as an interconnected open environment, with areas players can revisit to find secrets, characters, and new paths.
Anima: Song from the Abyss is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027.
