Echoes of Aincrad Systems Trailer Shows Character Progression and Partner Support

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has released a new systems trailer for Echoes of Aincrad, the upcoming action RPG set in the Sword Art Online universe. The trailer highlights the tools players will use to survive inside Aincrad, including weapon customization, character progression, partner support, and combat abilities.

Echoes of Aincrad launches July 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Create Your Own Original Character

For the first time in the franchise, Echoes of Aincrad puts players in the role of an original character they create instead of playing as the series’ main cast. Players can customize their avatar, upgrade attributes, and shape their build around their preferred combat style.

Real-Time Combat and Weapon Customization

The game features fast-paced real-time action combat. Players can adapt their weapons, equipment, and special skills as they level up and face more serious threats across Aincrad.

The trailer also shows how the variety of weapons and progression will help players adapt to different combat situations.

Partner Support Plays a Key Role

Players will not fight alone. Echoes of Aincrad includes a partner system in which chosen companions offer distinct skills and abilities. These partners can also be customized, giving players more control over how they approach battles.
