Solo developer 2ndPlayerGames and publisher Deck13 Spotlight have revealed Full Circle, a 2.5HD JRPG inspired by PlayStation-era classics. The game was announced during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase and is currently in development for PC and consoles.
A first playable demo will be available later this year at Gamescom.
A Post-Apocalyptic JRPG in the Skies
Full Circle is set in a world where humanity has fled to flying cities after mutated beasts and monsters overtook the surface. Young heroes are trained to venture into the wilds and keep humanity’s last refuges alive.
When one mission reveals survivors, rival cities, and hidden truths beyond the safety of the skies, the group begins to question everything they were taught.
Inspired by the Golden Era of JRPGs
The game draws from PS1-era JRPGs such as Lunar, Breath of Fire, early Final Fantasy, and Legend of Dragoon. It combines that influence with modern 2.5HD pixel art, updated controls, and faster-paced systems.
Turn-Based Combat With Real-Time Timing
Full Circle features strategic turn-based battles with timing-based inputs. Players can chain attacks, uncover combos, and swap party members during combat.
The party system includes four active characters and four reserve characters, with gear, synergies, and unique abilities shaping different strategies.
Exploration, Secrets, and Unlikely Allies
Players will explore flying cities, ancient ruins, survivor settlements, and untamed wilds. The game will also include hidden quests, creature taming, tech salvaging, and character abilities used both in combat and environmental puzzles.
Full Circle is available to wishlist now on Steam.
