Runesmith Revealed With First Trailer at Indie Quest 2026

Terahard Studios has announced Runesmith, a turn-based tactical RPG about dwarven craftsmanship, unstable magic, and revenge over unpaid coin.

The game’s first trailer premiered during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase, alongside the launch of its Steam page.

A Dwarf’s Revenge Story

In Runesmith, players take on the role of a dwarf blacksmith chasing an all-powerful summoner who threatens the world. Saving the world is not the main concern, though. The villain still owes the dwarf money.

Players will recruit a party of questionable adventurers, improve their forge, take odd jobs, brawl in taverns, and hunt through towns, mines, ruins, dungeons, and other dangerous places.

Rune Crafting Meets Tactical Combat

Runesmith centers on a rune-smithing system where players forge weapons, armor, trinkets, and magical combinations. Rune effects can chain together during combat, creating powerful combos or disastrous accidents.

Battles use status effects as a major tactical layer, encouraging players to experiment with poison, fog, drunkenness, and other unstable interactions.

Turn-Based RPG With Dwarven Humor

Terahard says Runesmith is its first full RPG, blending the studio’s humor with crafting and tactical combat. The game leans into fantasy dwarf culture, from ale and forge work to grudges, violence, and very poor decision-making.

Runesmith is available to wishlist now on Steam.
