Aberratic Studios has released a playable demo for Symbiosis on Steam. The sci-fi co-op hero-shooter blends fast combat, procedural exploration, tower defense-style base-building, and survival against waves of mechanical hybrids.
The game can be played solo or in online co-op with a partner.
Explore, Build, and Survive
Symbiosis takes place on shifting alien worlds filled with unpredictable hazards, resources, and hostile machines. Players must explore during each run, gather materials, and build defenses around their Core before nightfall brings enemy waves.
Base layouts, turret placement, walls, and power systems all play a role in survival.
Heroes With Evolving Skill Trees
Players can choose from different heroes, each with active skill trees and abilities built around different playstyles. Co-op teams can combine character abilities with defensive systems to survive longer and reclaim more territory.
A Fight for Lost Colonies
The game’s story follows prisoners sent by the Centralized Human Republic to reclaim hostile worlds lost to failed experiments. Players must survive as expendable scouts, fighting together against mechanical swarms.
