The Alley Demo Is Available Now on Steam

AIXLAB, Smilegate, and Thermite Games have released a free demo for The Alley on Steam. The first-person psychological horror game is set in maze-like Korean alleyways and blends supernatural investigation with Korean folk horror.

The demo features around 30 minutes of gameplay and supports English, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Korean Folk Horror in a Modern Maze

The Alley follows Soyeon, a high school student who steps out of evening class and finds herself trapped in streets that should be familiar but no longer lead home. Her shaman grandmother’s bracelet begins to glow, warning her that something is wrong.

Players use the bracelet, a smartphone camera, and MMS messages to investigate strange events. Suspicious details must be photographed and judged as either Ghost Traces, impossible supernatural events, or Ghost Feints, strange but possibly real occurrences.

Mistakes Bring the Ghost Closer

The Alley is built around anomaly detection and consequence. Each correct report moves Soyeon closer to the truth, while mistakes draw danger nearer.

Players will also have to survive ghost chases by running rather than looking back, relying on observation and quick reactions to make it through the alley.
