Creative Assembly and SEGA have officially announced Alien: Isolation 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2014 survival horror game. The reveal came during Summer Game Fest 2026 with a new trailer teasing the return of the Xenomorph.
Alien: Isolation 2 is now available to wishlist on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A Nintendo Switch 2 wishlist page will follow later.
A New Alien Horror Story
Alien: Isolation 2 will feature a new setting, story, and protagonist while retaining the same tension-driven survival-horror focus that made the original stand out.
This time, players will explore a remote colony-world battered by storms, along with Kurosaki Station, a Weyland-Yutani outpost filled with tight corridors and new dangers.
The Xenomorph returns as the main threat, stalking players across both the planet’s surface and the station’s claustrophobic interiors.
A Smarter Xenomorph and Harsher World
Creative Director Al Hope said the sequel aims to evolve the Isolation formula while staying true to the Alien franchise.
The development team is building a more dangerous version of the Xenomorph, harsher environments, and a survival experience where players must improvise to stay alive.
Players will need to use new tools, techniques, and tactics as they take part in another deadly game of cat and mouse.
Wishlists Are Live
Creative Assembly’s dedicated Survival team is developing Alien: Isolation 2.
The game is currently confirmed for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with support for Nintendo Switch 2 planned via a future wishlist listing. A release date has not yet been announced.
