Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced that Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered will launch worldwide on October 1, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The remaster brings back one of the most popular entries in the Dynasty Warriors series while introducing new combat systems, expanded content, and returning multiplayer features. A newly released trailer highlights the updated gameplay, additional story scenarios, and the return of split-screen co-op.
New Combat Mechanics Modernize the Classic
While retaining the large-scale 1 vs. 1,000 battles that defined the original release, Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered introduces several new combat options.
Players can use Evasion to dodge incoming attacks or temporarily reposition during battle. A new Just Evasion mechanic rewards precise timing by triggering a counterattack after a perfectly executed dodge.
Perfect Power Guard adds another defensive option, allowing players to deflect enemy attacks and leave opponents vulnerable to follow-up strikes.
Weapon customization has also been expanded through Weapon Fusion. Players can sacrifice unused weapons to transfer elemental effects and skills, creating stronger equipment tailored to their preferred playstyle.
Additional Scenarios and Returning Co-Op
The remaster includes new story scenarios alongside the content from the original release, expanding the game’s campaign and roster of unlockable officers.
Omega Force has also brought back the fan-favorite offline two-player mode. Players can tackle battles together in split-screen co-op or compete against each other across Musou, Free, and VS modes.
The return of local multiplayer marks one of the most requested features among longtime fans of the series.
Digital Deluxe Edition Detailed
Pre-orders are available now across all announced platforms.
Players can purchase the standard edition or upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game along with a large collection of bonus content.
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains 42 additional weapons, six Secret Teachings, the Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet items, an Officer Concept Art Collection, and 42 retro costumes inspired by the original Dynasty Warriors 3.
Pre-Order Bonus Revealed
Anyone who pre-orders Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered before September 30, 2026, will receive the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle bonus item.
