At long last, the Early Access release date for Hell Maiden — the upcoming deck-builder bullet heaven game from AstralShift — has been announced.
When it launches in Early Access on July 16, the game will allow players to enjoy the first two Circles of Hell: Limbo and Lust. These two areas will feature brutal boss fights, new challenges, and several achievements, as well as powerful skills earned by saving the four available Poets of Limbo. The Early Access release also includes voice acting, with Diana Garnet playing Dante and Phoebe Chan playing both Virgil and Beatrice, as well as some unannounced voice talent.

Hell Maiden is based on the iconic narrative poem Divine Comedy, which was written by the philosopher and writer Dante Alighieri in the 1300s. Plenty of video games have taken inspiration from the story over the years, ranging from Capcom’s iconic Devil May Cry series to the 2010 Visceral Games action title aptly named Dante’s Inferno.
Who is making the opening track for Hell Maiden?
Additionally, it was revealed that the popular Japanese band Mili will be collaborating with AstralShift to craft the title’s opening theme. The song is called “Not my Paradiso” and will play alongside a 2D animated opening video. Mili has made songs for several popular anime and video games, including Goblin Slayer, Gleipnir, Arknights, and Limbus Company.
