NIS America will bring hands-on demos for Village in the Shade and Disgaea Mayhem to Japan Expo in Paris from July 9 through July 12. Attendees can stop by the NIS booth in Hall 6, Allée C, C764, to try both upcoming titles.
Visitors will also have a chance to receive a themed fan or exclusive shopping bag while supplies last.
First Public Demo for The Village in the Shade
Village in the Shade will be playable for the first time at Japan Expo. The spooky farming sim takes place in Kagatsu, a hand-painted Japanese mountain village filled with secrets.
Players can plant crops, customize their homestead, meet villagers, and enjoy quiet moments around town. Of course, the peaceful setup comes with a warning: don’t talk to strangers, don’t leave the village, and don’t go out at night.
Village in the Shade is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Disgaea Mayhem Playable Before Launch
Disgaea Mayhem will also be playable ahead of its July 23 launch. The game takes the long-running strategy RPG series in a new action-focused direction, putting players in direct control of N.A., a mercenary fighting monsters for money and flan.
Players can equip seven weapon types, recruit classic demons like Prinnies, grind levels, improve gear, and pass bills at the Dark Chocolate Assembly to push damage numbers higher and higher.
Disgaea Mayhem launches July 23 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Japan Expo Runs July 9-12
Japan Expo attendees can play both demos at the NIS America booth in Paris from July 9-12. Village in the Shade and Disgaea Mayhem give the publisher two very different games on the show floor, ranging from eerie farming-sim tension to over-the-top Disgaea action.
