Kepler Interactive and Tokyo-based developer Shapefarm have announced that Orbitals will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026.
The announcement was made during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, accompanied by a brand-new trailer showcasing the retro anime-inspired cooperative adventure.
A Two-Player Journey Beyond the Storm Wall
Orbitals is a two-player co-op adventure that draws inspiration from classic anime aesthetics, placing players in a colorful sci-fi world filled with exploration, teamwork, and mystery.
Players will take control of protagonists Maki and Omura as they venture beyond the mysterious Storm Wall, piloting their ship into uncharted territory.
While details about the story remain limited, the latest trailer offered a closer look at the game’s vibrant art direction, cooperative gameplay, and stylized retro-anime presentation.
Pre-Orders Available Now
Nintendo Switch 2 owners can pre-order Orbitals starting today. The game will be available in both Standard and Deluxe Editions.
