Gameleon Studio has announced Ornelia, a cozy village-builder and benevolent god game coming to Steam Early Access this year.
Set beneath the great Kiskanu tree, the game puts players in the role of a hands-on guardian watching over the Kinous, small expressive creatures who react to the player’s guidance.
A God Game Built Around Care
Rather than focusing on destruction or conquest, Ornelia centers on acts of kindness. Each night, the Kiskanu tree draws power from how well players care for their village, glowing brighter as the community grows.
Players can physically interact with the world by picking up Kinous, clearing paths, reshaping spaces, and triggering small miracles to help the village develop.
Create Mode Launches in Early Access
Ornelia will launch with Create Mode, a relaxed building mode that lets players design and grow their village without time pressure.
Players can focus on efficiency, decoration, or a mix of both while building a village that reflects their own style.
Adventure Mode Planned for 1.0
For the full 1.0 release, Gameleon Studio plans to add Adventure Mode, a narrative-driven mode where players work to restore the Kiskanu tree and push back the Black Mass, a threat spreading across the world.
Ornelia is coming to Steam Early Access this year.
