Unleash the Avatar — the upcoming Indian Epics-inspired Soulslike from developer Aeos Games — has added a beloved voice actor to its cast.
Johnny Yong Bosch — who’s well-known for roles like Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach, Yu Narukami and Tohru Adachi in Persona 4, and Nero in the Devil May Cry series — is playing the lead protagonist Vikram in the game.
“We needed a voice that could convey both absolute vulnerability and unstoppable, relentless willpower of Vikram,” Varun Mayya, Co-Founder of Aeos Games stated. “Johnny Yong Bosch delivers exactly that. His performance perfectly captures the exhaustion of dying a thousand times in true Soulslike fashion, alongside the fiery defiance required to challenge godly powers. We can’t wait for players to experience the story through his performance.”
You can hear Bosch’s voice work in Unleash the Avatar through the newly released trailer on YouTube below:
Additionally, the game is now available to wishlist on Steam, so interested players can add the game to their wishlist ahead of launch.
