BeastLink Starts “Meet The Beasts” Blog Series With Horned Lizard

Grove Street Games has released the first developer blog in its new BeastLink series, Meet The Beasts, giving players a closer look at the Horned Lizard.

The blog series will break down each kaiju’s backstory, skills, and abilities ahead of the multiplayer monster battler’s release. First up is a spiked, camouflage-ready beast built for close-range pressure, long-range punishment, and plenty of city-wide damage.

BeastLink The Horned Lizard

Meet the Horned Lizard

The Horned Lizard draws on the real animal’s natural armor and unusual defensive traits, then pushes them into kaiju territory. In BeastLink, she walks on two legs, uses her tail as a weapon, and attacks from range with high-powered eye beams.

Her tongue is another major part of her kit. She can lash out across the battlefield, grab targets, and turn humans or vehicles into fuel for the fight.

Built for Sneak Attacks and Heavy Hits

Horned Lizard’s main abilities include Corneal Beam, Tail Smack, and Camouflage. Corneal Beam gives her a ranged option that can melt through buildings and enemies, while Tail Smack helps her handle opponents who get too close.

Camouflage gives her room to play dirty. She can cloak to set up a surprise attack, escape pressure, or break away long enough to feed and recover.

More Skills to Unlock

As players progress, Horned Lizard can gain additional moves such as Tongue Whip, Kangaroo Kick, Power Spit, Dirty Shot, and Focused Shot. These add more ways to punish enemies, control space, and damage property.

It sounds like a strong first pick for players who want a kaiju that can hit hard, vanish, and make a mess before anyone knows what happened.

More Beasts Coming

Meet The Beasts will continue in future blogs, focusing on more BeastLink kaiju. Grove Street Games is using the series to show how each monster fights, what inspired its design, and how players can use its abilities in multiplayer matches.

BeastLink is currently in development, with more updates planned through Grove Street Games’ official channels.
