The Immortal John Triptych Launches August 27 on Consoles and PC

The Immortal John Triptych launches August 27 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing Joe Richardson’s Renaissance painting adventure trilogy to new platforms.

The release combines Four Last Things, The Procession to Calvary, and Death of the Reprobate into a single remastered package filled with religious satire, strange jokes, classical art, and point-and-click puzzle-solving.

Three Strange Adventures in One Package

The Immortal John Triptych brings together three award-winning narrative adventure games inspired by Renaissance, Rococo, and Romantic artwork.

Players can expect pirates, cardinals, holy trouble, strange characters, and a lot of jokes that treat serious subject matter with very little respect.

Each game tells its own story, while recurring characters and themes tie the trilogy together.

Remastered Features and Bonus Content

The collection adds a unified UI overhaul, quality-of-life improvements, full controller support, deleted scenes, bonus material, and timelapse footage showing how Richardson assembled the trilogy from historical artwork.

The games use a modern adventure-game interface, including direct character control, a verb-coin interaction menu, and a simple inventory system.

Messhof also confirmed a free quality-of-life update for all three PC games, bringing them in line with the new collection.

Art, Music, and Bad Behavior

The Immortal John Triptych pairs public-domain classical music with works by Eduardo Antonello, using period-style instruments and adaptive music as each story progresses.

The Immortal John Triptych launches August 27 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
