MBC Game Studio has revealed 1001 Threads of Mizan, an Arabian fantasy action-adventure inspired by One Thousand and One Nights.
The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Shahrazad Brings the Heroes Together
1001 Threads of Mizan follows three heroes: Yusra, Malik, and Sufyan.
United by the Storyweaver Shahrazad, the group sets out to restore the Mizan’s lost power and stop an ancient jinn king before his vengeance destroys humanity.
Flying Carpet Co-Op
The game supports up to three players with drop-in, drop-out co-op.
Players can take to the skies on flying carpets, using aerial movement to travel, fight, and face large-scale jinn creatures together. MBC Game Studio says the flying carpet system sits at the center of exploration and combat.
Colossal Boss Battles
The reveal trailer highlights fast traversal, grounded and aerial combat, and boss fights built around jinn creatures.
Gamescom attendees can also try a playable pre-alpha demo this week. The demo ends with a fight against Nazjush, a powerful boss designed to show off the game’s co-op and flight combat.
MBC Game Studio’s Debut Title
1001 Threads of Mizan is the debut game from MBC Game Studio.
CEO Daniel Engelhardt and COO Trevor Williams lead the studio, with a team that includes developers from BioWare, Hi-Rez, Ubisoft Montréal, and Bungie.
