H2 Interactive has announced Caladrius 2/Dark Element, the next entry in the 2D shoot ’em up series, launching this winter for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The series returns 13 years after the original Caladrius, bringing back its dark gothic tone, bullet-hell action, and signature systems with updated visuals and combat mechanics.
A New Cast Takes Flight
Caladrius 2/Dark Element introduces a new cast of characters, each with their own story and personality.
New illustrators are handling the character art, giving the game a different visual identity while keeping the series’ focus on dramatic designs and dark fantasy imagery.
Shame Break Returns
The series’ Shame Break system is back with enhanced visuals.
As players and bosses take damage, cut-in illustrations appear during battle. It remains one of Caladrius’ most recognizable mechanics, and H2 Interactive says this version has been expanded for the sequel.
Element Shot Gets Upgraded
The Element Shot system also returns with new combat improvements.
Players will use powerful attacks to push through dense bullet patterns, manage enemy pressure, and survive each stage’s escalating chaos.
More Details Coming Later
Caladrius 2/Dark Element is planned for a winter 2026 global launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
H2 Interactive says the official release date and pre-order details will be announced later.
