Gobble Announced for Switch 2, PS5, Switch, and PC

NIS America has announced Gobble, a hand-painted 2D action platformer coming in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The game follows a hero searching for their missing family with help from Scythariel, a demonic bird that can transform into a scythe.

Scythariel Cuts and Eats

Gobble’s central hook comes from Scythariel’s ability to slash through enemies and consume them.

Eating enemies gives players extra health, which can then be spent on stronger abilities. Those powers help players cross hazards, reach new areas, and survive tougher fights.

Gobble uses a hand-painted 2D art style, with sound effects shown visually across the screen.

NIS America describes the game as a platforming adventure where players move through lively areas, fight enemies, and hunt for hidden collectibles in each stage.

Collectibles and Abilities

Each stage includes collectibles for players to track down.

Players will need to use Scythariel’s scythe form, enemy-consuming powers, and movement abilities to find everything and bring the missing family home.

Gobble launches in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC.
