4Divinity and Eschatology Entertainment have released a new Guns of Eschaton trailer at gamescom, confirming the FPS Souls-like will launch in 2026.
The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with art direction shaped by Viktor Antonov, known for his work on Half-Life 2 and Dishonored.
Gunfights With Souls-Like Pressure
Guns of Eschaton mixes first-person shooting with deliberate combat, progression, exploration, and buildcrafting.
Players will need to study enemies, manage resources, and make every shot count. The game swaps swords for old-fashioned guns and dark fantasy beasts for threats like a demonic train, but it keeps the focus on timing, preparation, and reading each fight.
Build a Gunslinger Your Way
Progression lets players shape their own approach to the apocalypse.
Firearms, ammunition types, occult abilities, talismans, armor, consumables, and active and passive skills can all feed into different builds. The trailer shows a shooter where aim matters, but loadout choices and enemy knowledge matter just as much.
An Occult Western Frontier
Guns of Eschaton takes place in an apocalyptic take on the 19th-century American frontier.
The setting mixes Western imagery with occult horror, mythology, religion, history, and the supernatural. Exploration and environmental storytelling will help players piece together what happened and what role they play in the frontier’s fate.
Solo First, Co-Op Optional
Eschatology Entertainment designed Guns of Eschaton as a solo-first game, but co-op will give players another way to tackle its challenges.
Playing with an ally changes the rhythm of combat, adding room for coordination, shared tactics, and different survival plans without removing the core challenge or story.
