Dlala Studios has revealed Murals, a new action-adventure coming to PC in 2027.
The game was announced during gamescom Opening Night Live and marks Dlala’s first original IP in over a decade.
Fairy Tales With a Mean Streak
Murals takes familiar fairy tales, fables, and fictional stories, then twists them into something stranger.
Players will help altered versions of characters from Hansel and Gretel, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and other tales, though Dlala made it clear these are not the versions you grew up with.
Fast Combat and Custom Setups
Murals focuses on fast-paced action and customizable combat.
Dlala says it wants players to experiment with different setups as they fight through its cast of enemies. The studio is building the game around responsive combat and room for players to find their own approach.
Hand-Animated Heroes, 3D Enemies
The game pairs hand-drawn, hand-animated characters and environments with 3D-rendered enemies.
Dlala Studios previously worked on Battletoads in 2020 and Disney Illusion Island in 2023, and Murals builds on that experience while returning the team to its own IP.
Coming to Steam in 2027
Murals will launch for PC in 2027.
The game is available to wishlist now on Steam, with more details planned through Dlala Studios’ official channels.
