Capcom has released a new Onimusha: Way of the Sword trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live, along with a new update for the game’s public demo.
The demo is available now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Microsoft Store. The same new demo content has also been added today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
New Bosses Take the Spotlight
The new “The Challenges That Await” trailer focuses on boss battles.
Capcom showed Ifuu and Burai, a duo that uses wind and thunder, along with a look at Miyamoto Musashi’s duel with Dokyo. The trailer also gives players a first look at Musashi in his fully awakened Oni form.
Oni Refuge Added to the Demo
The updated demo adds a second quest set in the Oni Refuge.
This surreal stage includes an early story section, introduces new mechanics, and leads into a fight against the towering boss Daidara.
Launching September 4
Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches September 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store.
Pre-orders are available now. The Standard Edition will be sold physically and digitally, while the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions will be available through digital stores.
Edition Details
The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, cosmetics, and charms for Musashi.
The Premium Deluxe Edition adds more cosmetics for Musashi and his allies, along with an in-game soundtrack. Players who secure the Standard, Deluxe, or Premium Deluxe editions before September 24 will receive Early Adopter Bonuses.
