Nightdive Studios has announced that Sin: Reloaded will launch on September 24 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The remaster updates the 1998 cult FPS with improved visuals, modern controls, Kex Engine support, and the Wages of Sin mission pack.
John R. Blade Returns
Sin: Reloaded puts players back in the boots of security consultant Colonel John R. Blade.
Blade faces Doctor Elexis Sinclaire, CEO of Sintek Industries, after she floods the streets with a DNA-altering drug and builds an army of genetically engineered mutants.
A Cult FPS Gets Reworked
The original Sin became known for its interactivity, branching paths, and scripted action.
Players could hack computer terminals with DOS-style commands, use security cameras, ride elevators, and move through levels with vehicles like a forklift, patrol boat, and helicopter.
The game also helped push ideas like shooting weapons out of enemies’ hands and area-specific damage.
What’s New in Reloaded
Sin: Reloaded includes the original Sin and Wages of Sin, both optimized through Nightdive’s Kex Engine.
The remaster adds HD textures and models, up to 4K resolution at 144 FPS on supported hardware, anti-aliasing, upgraded menu art, modern UI and controls, improved maps, achievements, higher-resolution Zak Belika tracks mixed by Chris Mock, and a vault of behind-the-scenes material.
Players can also swap between the remastered visuals and the original Sin Gold look.
Switch 2 Upgrade Included
The Nintendo Switch version of Sin: Reloaded can be upgraded digitally to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition at no extra cost.
Sin: Reloaded launches September 24 for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, along with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
