Dungeon Automata Demo Available Now on Steam

Raw Fury and Kakehashi Games have announced that they will publish Dungeon Automata, an autologic dungeon crawler from Medium-Rare Games with a demo available now on Steam.

Players can wishlist the game today and try the demo, which gives an early look at its golem-programming dungeon runs.

Program the Party, Then Watch It Work

Dungeon Automata puts players in control of a party of golems, but not in the usual dungeon crawler way.

Instead of controlling each action directly, players build blueprints that define how their golems behave. That means studying enemies, adjusting logic, and finding better ways for each party member to support the others.

Once the golems enter the dungeon, players watch the results, revise their plans, and send them back in.

The Tower of Corruption Rises

The game takes place in Syntaxia, where monsters have appeared alongside the Tower of Corruption.

To push back against the threat, players use alchemy to synthesize golems and program them to make their way through the labyrinth leading to the tower’s summit.

Each handcrafted level brings its own traps, bosses, and combat problems to solve.

Build Better Golems

As players make progress, they can find catalysts that improve golem stats and nodes that add new action or targeting logic.

The system also lets players customize their party with parts found in the dungeon, giving each run room for new strategies and stronger setups.

Yuzo Koshiro Handles the Soundtrack

Dungeon Automata uses handcrafted 8-bit pixel art for its fantasy setting.

The soundtrack comes from Yuzo Koshiro, the composer known for his Genesis synth style and work across classic game music.
