Kniv Studio has released the first High Roller Penny demo on Steam, giving players an early look at its pachinko-inspired roguelike systems and high-stakes matches.
The game casts players as a debtor Penny, a bunny girl obsessed with reaching the High Roller, who is forced into an underground gambling den.
Build a Pegboard and Chase Bigger Scores
Each run revolves around building a pegboard from different balls, pegs, and passive effects.
Dropping a ball sends it bouncing across the board, and each peg adds points to the total score.
Players can earn tickets and spend them on stronger components, creating combinations built around different effects and scoring strategies.
The demo includes several ball types, including bowling balls and bouncy balls, along with blue pegs, shockwave pegs, multiplying pegs, and other modifiers.
Everything Can Be Sold
High Roller Penny also lets players sell off parts of their build when they need extra resources.
Players can trade away tickets, pegs, balls, and other possessions, though they risk weakening their setup if they cannot replace what they lose.
Opponents throughout the gambling den come with their own mechanics and strategies.
Meet Another Bunny Girl
The demo introduces an additional bunny girl for players to compete against.
High Roller matches pit two bunny girls against one another while the player attempts to score enough points to survive and work toward clearing their debt.
Failing carries a much harsher consequence than simply losing a match.
High Roller Penny Demo Is Out Now
The first High Roller Penny demo is available now for PC via Steam.
Kniv Studio has not announced a release date for the full game.
