Nis America and Aiming have announced The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes, the first console game based on The Eminence in Shadow light novel and anime series.
Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play, the 3D action roguelite is planned for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and the Epic Games Store in 2027.
Shadow Garden Heads to Consoles
The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes puts the series into a full-scale action roguelite format.
Players will take on challenging enemies while building out character abilities across each run. Those abilities receive random upgrades during play, giving players different build options as they progress.
Alpha Takes the Spotlight
The debut trailer shows Alpha in combat, including her sword attacks and Awakening.
Awakening serves as one of the game’s key systems, letting players select abilities that shape how they fight. The trailer also teases a wounded Delta and a confrontation between Alpha and Shadow.
Based on the Anime Series
The Eminence in Shadow follows Cid Kagenou, a boy reborn into a fantasy setting who plays the role of a shadowy mastermind.
What starts as his own act turns into something much larger when the Cult of Diablos turns out to be real, and the girls he helps form Shadow Garden around him.
The series has sold over 8 million copies, and its first two anime seasons are available now on streaming platforms.
More Eminence in Shadow in 2027

The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game will support one player and currently has an ESRB rating pending.
