Causeway Studios has announced The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham, a dark supernatural puzzle adventure coming to PC via Steam in 2027.
The game will appear at PAX West with an exclusive demo as part of the PAX Rising Showcase.
A Mother Searches for Her Daughter
The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham follows Lilith after she receives an alarming voicemail from her estranged daughter.
Her search leads her to the Alpine Movie Manor Hotel and Drive-In, an eerie location based on a real attraction in Colorado’s San Luis Valley. From there, Lilith gets pulled into a supernatural mystery tied to mass vanishings, deceit, and forces that do not want her asking questions.
Edit the Film, Change Reality
The game centers on tactile detective puzzles and reality-bending mechanics.
Lilith finds a mystical film reel called The City of Dreams, which uses full-motion video. Players can edit the film to tear through reality itself, but each change carries consequences for the people and places around her.
Every edit pushes Lilith closer to learning what happened to her daughter.
Desert-Noir and Strange Fiction
Causeway describes the game as a desert-noir detective adventure inspired by David Lynch, Lord Huron, and strange fiction.
Lilith will meet a supporting cast that includes the ever-present Host and a malevolent spirit trying to claim the film reel for herself.
Tied to Causeway’s Anthology Setting
The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham tells a standalone story.
Players who finished The Haunting of Joni Evers will notice links between the two games, as both take place within Causeway Studios’ connected anthology setting. The studio is also building out that fiction through short stories and vignettes on its official site.
Coming in 2027
The Final Cut of Lilith Cunningham launches in 2027 for PC via Steam.
Causeway Studios will show an exclusive demo at PAX West through the PAX Rising Showcase.
