Monster Train 2: The Punished launches November 10 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox for $7.99. The premium DLC adds a playable Clan that focuses on sacrificing cards and turning damage into power.
Developer Shiny Shoe and publisher Big Fan also announced that Monster Train 2 has reached more than one million players. Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android versions are coming later this year, with The Punished also available on those platforms.
Turn Suffering Into Stronger Units
The new Clan is led by Archus, Darkness Incarnate. Its strategy revolves around sacrificing cards to the Monolith to build Devotion and strengthening units through Zeal.
Taking damage fuels the Clan’s abilities, triggering effects and buffs that let its units hit back harder. Managing that risk becomes part of building a deck capable of surviving long enough to benefit from the punishment.
The Punished Concludes the Post-Launch Content Lineup
Shiny Shoe says The Punished will conclude Monster Train 2’s series of post-launch content updates. It follows free updates and the earlier Destiny of the Railforged DLC, which introduced an additional game mode and challenge.
The deckbuilder retains the series’ three-floor battle system, with players combining Clan abilities and card synergies to defend their train.
Monster Train 2: The Punished arrives November 10 for $7.99. You can find the base game on Steam.
