Saraab: Beyond The Veil has released a demo for October’s Steam Next Fest ahead of its November 3, 2026, launch. Solo developer Rooted Elevation’s psychological horror visual novel draws on Arabian mythology and Gulf folklore to tell a supernatural family story.
The demo covers the opening chapter, introducing schoolgirl Elham after her brother suddenly disappears.
Investigate a Disappearance Through Arabian Folklore
Elham’s search forces her to confront supernatural threats and manifestations of her own psyche. To understand her brother’s abduction, she must also awaken powers tied to her bloodline.
The story draws from djinn traditions and tales shared across the Gulf, particularly in the UAE. Rooted Elevation describes that foundation as a tribute to the developer’s heritage, connecting psychological horror with themes of identity, family, and personal connection.
