Stranger Than Heaven has a new story trailer introducing the first era of protagonist Makoto Daito’s life. SEGA and RGG Studio’s “Act 1: Kokura Story Trailer” follows his departure from America and the difficult circumstances awaiting him in Japan.
The footage also introduces Yu Shinjo, a fellow stowaway who will become Daito’s best friend.
Daito’s Escape Leads to a Harsh Arrival in Kokura
After enduring persecution in America, Daito hides aboard the merchant Orpheus’ “ghost ship” in pursuit of a new life in Japan. He meets Shinjo aboard the vessel before the pair confronts the harsh realities of Kokura.
The trailer follows Daito’s encounters with people who shape his life, the circumstances behind his move into show business, and his efforts to establish a foundation for survival.
More City-Focused Story Trailers Are Coming
Sega and RGG Studio plan to release additional videos focusing on Daito’s life in each of the game’s featured cities.
For now, the Kokura trailer offers a closer look at the relationships and hardships that shape the opening chapter of Stranger Than Heaven.
