Independent developer N-Zone has officially unveiled MegaGum, a new 3D bubble-punk platformer that combines platforming, environmental puzzles, light combat, and story-driven exploration.
Set inside a sprawling industrial complex powered by a mysterious substance known as Gum, the game follows a teenager searching for answers behind the disappearance of her parents.
A Factory Built on Sweet Secrets
In the world of MegaGum, Gum serves as the planet’s primary energy source, construction material, and symbol of hope. Created by the mysterious Mister Gum, the substance helped rebuild society after a period of turmoil.
Players take control of Uja, a young girl whose parents vanished without explanation. After learning they may still be alive somewhere inside Mister Gum’s massive factory, she sets out to uncover the truth.
An Unlikely Partnership
During her journey, Uja meets Minigum, a sentient gummy creature originally designed to maintain factory machinery. As Minigum begins questioning its purpose and creator, it joins Uja in exploring the facility’s many departments.
Together, the pair must navigate dangerous machinery, security systems, puzzles, and powerful overseers as they climb deeper into the factory.
Gum-Powered Platforming and Exploration
MegaGum’s gameplay centers around mobility and environmental interaction. Players can use gum-powered abilities to glide across gaps, run along walls, freeze hazards, and traverse large industrial environments.
Each area introduces new mechanics, puzzles, hazards, and bosses while encouraging exploration through hidden paths and optional discoveries.
