Area 35 has announced that Tiny Metal 2 will feature music from award-winning composer Go Shiina, known for his work across games and anime, including Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Shiina recently won Best Score at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards for his work on Demon Slayer, adding another major credit to a career that includes Tales of Legendia, Ace Combat, Tekken, Mr. Driller, and several Tales titles.
A Bigger Sound for Tiny Metal 2
For Tiny Metal 2, Shiina has created a score built around large orchestral recordings. Area 35 says the music is meant to support the game’s battlefield drama, character stories, and moments of pressure across its tactical campaign.
Area 35 CEO Hiroaki Yura said he wanted the score to capture the feeling of characters standing against fate, even when victory seems out of reach.
“I wanted the music to capture the feeling of standing against that destiny, of finding the strength to challenge what appears inevitable,” Yura said.
Strategy Across Land, Sea, and Air
Tiny Metal 2 brings back the grid-based tactical warfare of the series, with returning characters, new commanders, additional modes, and multi-faction conflict.
This sequel also adds naval combat for the first time in the series, introducing submarines, battleships, and other sea-based units alongside land and air forces. Players will manage resources, produce units, capture territory, and decide when to press an attack.
More Details Coming at Japan Expo
Tiny Metal 2 will appear at Japan Expo in Paris from July 9-12. Shiina will also join the Area 35 team for a special appearance and an exclusive announcement during the event.
Tiny Metal 2 is in development at Area 35 and will be published by Area 34 when it launches in spring 2027 for PC via Steam and other platforms. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam.
