Broke Wizards Announced as a 1-6 Player Co-op Game From 5TH Cell

Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell has announced Broke Wizards, a new 1-6 player co-op game coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game follows a group of wizard roommates trying to pay rent to a giant Imp Landlord before he eats them. To survive, players take on odd jobs, fight monsters, race magical ravens, play prop hunt, and slack off when rent is not due yet.

Wizard Gig Work

Broke Wizards gives players a list of strange jobs to complete for Magic Keys and cash.

Some jobs send the group out to save towns from monsters. Others involve exploring backrooms, racing, solving puzzles, or playing Slitherin’, a snake-style phone game made for wizards.

The goal is simple: earn enough to pay rent and avoid becoming the landlord’s next meal.

Combat, Chaos, and Property Damage

The wizards in Broke Wizards are strong, but that power comes with risk.

Players can blast through enemies while saving towns, but destroying too much of the neighborhood can cut into their pay. That adds a small cost to the usual co-op chaos, especially when everyone starts throwing magic around.

Hang Out Between Jobs

Rent is due at the end of the week, so players can spend downtime messing around at home.

Broke Wizards includes hangout activities like watching videos, playing instruments, tag, PvP in the arena, and fireworks. Players can also customize their wizards with hoodies, magic boards, hats, wings, and Pocketdragon companions.

Earn the Deed

Everything players do earns Magic Keys, from jobs and puzzles to exploring and paying rent.

Collecting enough keys opens the treasure chest holding the deed, giving the wizards a path to finally escape their Imp Landlord.

Broke Wizards is in development for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
