Argonaut Games has announced Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos, a remaster of the sequel to Croc Legend of the Gobbos. The game is in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG.
The remaster targets a Q4 2026 release and will feature improved visuals, quality-of-life updates, and a restored title based on the name used during the game’s original development.
Croc Heads to the Mainland
Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos follows Croc as he heads to the mainland to search for his long-lost parents.
That plan gets complicated when the Dantinis bring back Baron Dante, who returns with revenge on his mind. Across four villages, Croc will rescue captured Gobbos and face Guardians such as Soveena the Squid.
Over 40 Levels of 3D Platforming
Croc’s classic moves return, including jumping and tail-spinning, but the sequel also adds a triple jump for extra height.
Players will also ride minecarts, race cars and speedboats, glide through the air, and fly a wooden airplane across more than 40 open-ended 3D platforming levels.
Croc2pedia Adds Behind-the-Scenes Content
Argonaut is also adding Croc2pedia, an in-game digital museum similar to the Crocipedia from the first remaster.
Croc2pedia will include development materials, cut content, and interviews with members of the original and remaster teams, giving fans a closer look at how Croc’s second adventure came together.
Wishlisting Is Open
Wishlisting is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and GOG. The Nintendo Switch link currently leads to Argonaut’s site, where players can sign up to get notified when Switch wishlisting goes live.
Argonaut says more details on release timing and physical editions will be shared later this year.
