Digital Sun has announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will launch in full on September 2 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The sequel has spent nearly eight months in Early Access, with two major updates added since its November 2025 debut. A demo is available now on all launch platforms, and the original Moonlighter is free to claim on Steam from August 5-9.
Will’s Shop Reaches Its Final Form
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault continues Will’s story, mixing dungeon runs with shop management.
Version 1.0 brings the main story to its ending, while adding new weapons, armor, and the Bomb Path. This combat path makes enemies explode after taking enough hits, damaging nearby foes.
Will’s shop also reaches its final level, opening more Bloblet slots, new cosmetic options, and extra space to customize Tresna.
Early Access Updates Built Out Combat
During Early Access, Moonlighter 2 received two major content updates.
Greed and Glory added the HEX combat path, Blo-Blitz dual guns, and the wave-based Greed Colosseum. Blob-Life Balance followed with Bloblet shop companions, a stackable Poison Path, new weapons, and Very Hard difficulty.
Postgame and Hardcore Mode Arrive at 1.0
The full release adds the Infinite Endless Vault, a postgame mode built around scaling, gold-filled runs for players who want a tougher test after the story.
Hardcore mode raises the pressure further. If Will falls in a dungeon, players return to the start.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is open for pre-orders now on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The game launches September 2 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. It will also be available through Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S.
