Bohemia Interactive has revealed that Cosmo Tales will feature Gabriel Andrews as its principal voice actor. Andrews will voice Shifty, the game’s talking car protagonist, along with every supporting character.
The announcement comes with a behind-the-scenes video showing Andrews’ vocal work across the game’s cast.
Shifty Gets His Voice
In Cosmo Tales, Shifty is a talking car traveling through space.
Rather than casting separate actors for each role, Bohemia Interactive selected Andrews after searching for someone with enough range to handle Shifty and the supporting cast. His sketch-comedy background also aligns with the game’s need for fast character changes and distinct voices.
A Familiar Voice in Games
Andrews has worked across film, television, stage, and games.
He voiced 17 characters in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. He also worked as a voice artist and motion capture performer on Kingdom Come: Deliverance, portraying 12 characters, plus several more in The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon.
For Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Andrews voiced 26 characters.
From Jojo Rabbit to Space Cars
Andrews’ recent screen work includes Carnival Row, Spy City, Knightfall, The Catcher Was a Spy, and Taika Waititi’s Oscar-winning Jojo Rabbit.
Bohemia Interactive has not shared a release date for Cosmo Tales in this announcement, but the new behind-the-scenes video offers players an early look at Shifty and the many characters Andrews brings to life.
