Eastshade Studios has announced that Songs of Glimmerwick will launch on PC via Steam on September 30.
The peaceful, story-driven RPG sends players to a woodland fantasy academy where music powers magic, friendships shape the school year, and strange local mysteries wait around campus.
A Magic Academy Built Around Music
In Songs of Glimmerwick, players are already enrolled at Glimmerwick’s university of magic.
With a flute and songbook in hand, players can cast spells by playing music. Songs can help them talk to trees, enchant tools, raise land, and handle problems across the island.
Classes, Clubs, and Local Drama
Songs of Glimmerwick mixes RPG quests with daily academy life.
Players can attend classes, join after-school clubs, make friends with classmates and townsfolk, and take part in festivals across a full year of seasons. The game also includes fully voiced dialogue for major and minor characters.
Gardening, Skills, and Side Activities
The university garden lets players grow both normal and magical plants, while character progression offers skills in gardening, trading, and special abilities like speaking to frogs.
Outside of class, players can explore the island, collect seashells, play Forests and Fairies with friends, and join the Green Sprites on forest expeditions.
From the Team Behind Eastshade
Songs of Glimmerwick comes from Eastshade Studios, the team behind the first-person painter adventure Eastshade.
The studio says the game already has more than 170,000 Steam wishlists. A release-date announcement trailer is now available, with Songs of Glimmerwick set to launch on Steam on September 30.
