Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have released a free Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered demo for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam ahead of the game’s October 1 launch.
The demo features a revised version of the Battle of Hulao Gate (Allied Forces) scenario with six playable officers and the chance to encounter a powerful opponent by meeting certain conditions during the battle.
Six Officers Take on Hulao Gate
The demo puts players on the side of Yuan Shao and his coalition of regional warlords as they attempt to stop Dong Zhuo from seizing power.
Six officers are playable:
- Zhao Yun
- Guan Yu
- Xiahou Dun
- Zhenji
- Zhou Yu
- Sun Shangxiang
Completing specific conditions during the scenario can also lead to a confrontation with an iconic opponent at the end of the stage.
Players can adjust settings including difficulty and language.
Online Two-Player Co-Op Coming After Launch
Koei Tecmo also confirmed during the game’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 presentation that online two-player co-op will arrive through a post-launch update.
Timing and further details will be announced later.
The full game already includes offline two-player co-op, along with returning systems such as True Musou Attacks.
More Than 40 Officers Return
Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered combines the original Dynasty Warriors 3 with content from Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends.
More than 40 officers from the original roster return alongside updated graphics, revised controls, additional features, and extra scenarios.
The remaster also adds new tactical scenarios featuring multiple officers.
Digital Deluxe Edition Includes Retro Costumes
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game alongside:
- 42 weapons
- Six Secret Teachings
- Wind Scroll and Tiger Amulet
- Officer Concept Art Collection
- 42 retro costumes based on the original game
Players who pre-order before September 30 will also receive the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle bonus item.
Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered launches October 1, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The free demo is available now across all four platforms.
