Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos has a release date. Argonaut Games has completed development of the remaster, which launches digitally on October 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam and GOG.
Croc Returns With Over 40 Levels
Originally released in 1999 as Croc 2, the sequel follows Croc as he heads to the mainland to search for his long-lost parents. The Dantinis have also resurrected Baron Dante, giving Croc another problem to handle along the way.
You’ll explore over 40 levels across four villages, rescue captured Gobbos, and face Guardians such as Soveena the Squid, whose obsession with Ginger Soda adds to her troublemaking.
Alongside jumping and tail-spinning, Croc can triple jump to reach greater heights. His adventure also includes minecart rides, car and speedboat races, hang gliding, and flights in a wooden airplane.
The remaster adds improved visuals and quality-of-life changes while preserving the original game’s feel. It also restores Kingdom of the Gobbos, the subtitle used during development.
Croc2pedia Includes a 90-Minute Documentary
The remaster includes the Croc2pedia, an in-game digital museum that follows the Crocipedia featured in the first game’s remaster.
You can browse previously unseen development materials and cut content, then watch the 90-minute Croc2mentary. The documentary features interviews with the original developers and remaster team, covering the sequel’s development from early concepts through completion.
