Silk & Sorrow sends two children into the Chrysalis, a place where humanity discards its things. Belgian indie studio Snowberry Games has announced the hand-drawn dark fantasy adventure for PC, set for 2027, with a demo planned for December 2026.
Designed exclusively for two players, the game supports couch and online co-op. Survival depends on sharing a single light source—and trusting your partner when you’re left without it.
One Glowing Grub, Two Children to Protect
The Chrysalis once gave discarded things a new purpose through the work of the Sun Queen, an enormous glowworm. After her death, darkness spreads, and her creations begin to forget what they were made for.
The children find help in Glint, a small glowing grub. Glint can only occupy one place at a time, so one player carries the light while the other works in the dark.
That limitation makes communication and coordination central to exploration. You can also feed Glint fireflies to strengthen it and gain additional abilities.
Solve Puzzles and Survive the Chrysalis Together
Beyond managing the light, you’ll work together to solve environmental puzzles and fight creatures stalking the dark.
The Chrysalis contains discarded objects, ignored memories, emotions, and even people. Its inhabitants have built lives among that waste, giving the children strange characters to meet as they investigate the spreading corruption and attempt to restore the light.
Snowberry Games’ First Release Arrives in 2027
Based in Antwerp, Snowberry Games is a two-person studio self-publishing its debut after two years of development. The team draws every environment, creature, and animation frame by hand.
Game designer Mano said Glint began as a conventional lantern before the team turned it into a creature the children could care for—a change that became central to the game.
Silk & Sorrow launches on PC in 2027.
