Dissidia 012: Possibly coming to consoles in the future?

Mitsunori Takahashi, the director of Duodecim, recently had an interview with VG247 in regards to the direction of the franchise, and whether Dissidia will see future installments on the NGP or home consoles.

Among his responses, Takahashi notes:

We have no actual plans for the PSP2 console at the moment. We decided to create Dissidia 012 on the PSP because we wanted to create a high quality game in a short space of time. So considering that, we thought PSP, a console we are familiar with already, was the most appropriate console.”

In regards to questions regarding if Dissidia will ever see itself released on home console:

There is no reason why we won’t do it in the future; we’re just waiting on the feedback from the players. If there is a voice for Dissidia on home consoles then we’ll consider it.”

As far as I knew, demand for Dissidia as a console title was strong since well before the first installment was released, but maybe I’m mistaken. At any rate, if you want Dissidia in full HD on your favourite home console, now is the time to speak up.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy will be releasing on March 3rd for Japan, March 22nd for North America, and March 25th in Europe for the PSP.
