Best Atmosphere – Elden Ring

Diego: Miyazaki has always been excellent at creating the atmosphere in his games, and Elden Ring feels like the culmination of everything each one of his games has been building to. You can see the influences from each of the Souls games and Bloodborne, and they’re realized to their full potential in a beautiful world that’s constantly pulling at your curiosity to explore every inch of it to see what you might find.

Samantha: The world of Elden Ring ranges from gorgeous to terrifying, with a wonderful sense of atmosphere that enhances whichever mood that particular area is aiming for.

Austin: From Software did something I didn’t think they’d be able to do to me. They got me interested in the world and lore of one of their games. Even my previous-favorite of theirs, Bloodborne never had me wrapped up in the word like Elden Ring. Environmental storytelling and user-experienced stories had me wanting to talk about everything that was happening, all the time. I dug deeper into FAQs, Wikis and into the world of Elden Ring way more than I was anticipating.
