Live. Laugh. LORT. That’s the rallying cry from Big Distraction, a new indie studio led by former AAA developers, as they reveal their debut title: LORT, an off-the-wall 1–8 player co-op action roguelite launching in Q4 2025 on PC via Steam (and fully supported on Steam Deck).
Set in a cursed fantasy realm where players evolve from goblin-ticklers to god-slappers, LORT throws players into chaotic PvE mayhem where anything goes—and the more ridiculous, the better.
Goblins Beware
In LORT, chaos is king. Whether playing solo or with up to seven friends, players explore procedurally generated runs stacked with:
- Over 100 absurd power-ups, including “Cool Comfy Shorts” and the “Trophy of Swole”
- Weapon freedom with swords, wands, bows, and guns—all swappable on the fly
- Massive boss battles with pattern-based combat and devastating attacks
- Dynamic run customization, where players shape their path with branching quests and evolving challenges
As players push through cursed lands, they’ll power up relentlessly until they hit the legendary “God Run”—a full-throttle, overpowered finale where the gloves come off and the goblins tremble.
Built by Devs Who Just Want to Have Fun
Big Distraction’s mission is refreshingly simple: make games that are fun, feel great to play, and run smoothly. The team is made up of developers who grew up immersed in internet gaming culture and who got fed up with the corporate bloat of AAA studios.
“We just want to make stuff we love playing with friends,” the studio said. “LORT is our love letter to co-op chaos and we’re excited to get it into players’ hands less than two years after starting development.”
