Genshin Impact’s next major update, Version 5.7 “A Space and Time for You,” is set to launch on June 18, bringing a wave of new content that includes two playable characters, the long-anticipated appearance of Skirk, a new Archon Quest chapter, and a suite of combat and quality-of-life additions.
This patch deepens the central story surrounding the Traveler twins and the Abyss Order, setting the stage for the eventual journey to Natlan and beyond.
New Playable Characters
- Skirk (5★ Sword / Cryo): The mysterious mentor of Tartaglia (Childe) finally makes her debut. Skirk’s combat style features a dual-stance system powered by a unique energy mechanic, rewarding aggressive play and Cryo/Hydro synergy.
- Dahlia (4★ Sword / Hydro): A supportive Hydro sword wielder with shielding capabilities and a team-wide attack speed buff.
Both characters will appear in Phase I of the update’s Event Wish banners, joined by Shenhe. Phase II will introduce Pyro Archon Mavuika and Emilie, continuing the drip-feed of Natlan’s upcoming cast.

New Permanent Game Mode – Stygian Onslaught
Version 5.7 introduces Stygian Onslaught, a rotating combat challenge mode with escalating difficulty across six levels. Players will battle through three boss encounters per rotation, earning rewards geared toward targeted artifact enhancement, a long-requested feature.
