Riddlebit Software and Curveball Games have announced that their gravity-defying, parkour-powered platformer Jetrunner will officially launch on September 4, 2025, for PC. Press and content creators will be able to go hands-on starting August 18, with full access to the game ahead of release.
If Neon White collided with Trackmania in a Tron-lit arena, you’d have something close to the chaotic spectacle of Jetrunner. The latest trailer showcases a thrilling blend of first-person traversal, high-speed shooting, wall-running, grappling, sliding, and slamming your way through deadly obstacle courses. It’s a race to the finish, and style points definitely matter.
Meet the Voices Behind the Velocity
Jetrunner isn’t just speed—it’s story and swagger too, thanks to an impressive voice cast that brings its cast of jetrunners to life:
- Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth) brings energy to the game as Mick Acaster, the over-the-top commentator hyping up every jump and jetburst.
- Alejandro Saab (Persona 5, Genshin Impact) voices Jacque, the charming childhood friend of the protagonist.
- Sara Secora (Signalis, Vtuber projects) stars as Nina, the fearless newcomer to the sport, rising through the ranks with style and grit.
What Is Jetrunner?
In Jetrunner, you take part in a high-stakes futuristic sport where speed, precision, and style rule. Playing as Nina, players must chain together slides, swings, wall runs, and blasts to tackle intense levels that demand both reflexes and creativity.
Key features include:
- Parkour-based First-Person Gameplay – Slide, wall-run, and grapple across gravity-defying tracks
- Shooter Elements – Combine traversal with stylish FPS gunplay
- Style Over Everything – Complete levels with flair to earn top rankings
- High-Energy Commentary – Feel the pressure with dynamic in-game shoutcasting by Mercer’s Mick Acaster
Who’s Behind the Jetpack?
Jetrunner is being developed by Riddlebit, a Norway-based indie studio formed in 2017 by a group of university friends passionate about pushing game genres in wild directions. They’re partnering with Curveball Games, a relatively new publisher under the Curveball Leisure Group umbrella, to bring their ambitious debut to the masses.
