3DClouds has announced that its historic open-wheel sim-cade racer, Formula Legends, will launch worldwide on September 18, 2025, for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at $19.99. Designed for both casual players and hardcore motorsport fans, the game emulates over seven decades of racing history with eras, teams, and tracks inspired by the sport’s past and present.
A Racing Experience for All
While Formula Legends offers arcade-style accessibility and adjustable driving assists, it also borrows from full-on sims with:
- Tyre wear & fuel consumption
- Track evolution
- Damage modeling
- Dynamic weather
This creates a “sim-cade” mix that is challenging yet approachable, offering custom rules, assists, and difficulty settings to suit any player.
New Demo Available
Players can try Formula Legends today with a free demo on PC. A Nintendo Switch demo launches on August 14.
The updated demo — following June’s Steam Next Fest alpha that drew over 50,000 players — features:
- Two Modes – Custom Race & Time Attack
- Two Tracks – Belgium & Hungary (Classic & Modern layouts)
- Three Eras – Mid-’70s, Early ’90s, and Mid-’20s cars, teams, and drivers
- Extreme Weather – Sunny, overcast, wet, and stormy conditions
- Customizable Gameplay – Opponent AI, assists, qualifying, race rules, and more
- New Cameras – Multiple rear wing views and an all-new cockpit cam
- Improved Handling & AI – Sharper braking, more responsive inputs, and smarter competition
