Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have announced that digital pre-orders are now open for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian, the next entry in the long-running Atelier series. The game launches on September 26, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, accompanied by a brand-new story trailer that offers fans a deeper look at its dual protagonists and mysterious ruins.
Players who purchase either a physical or digital edition within the first two weeks of launch will receive exclusive bonuses, including the “Activewear Adventuring Set” for Rias and Slade and the “Adventuring Charm Set.”
A Tale of Ruins, Bonds, and Dimensional Paths
The game follows Rias Eidreise and Slade Clauslyter as they uncover ancient ruins near their hometown of Hallfein. A chance discovery leads them to an alchemist’s hidden atelier, where Slade’s Geist Core activates, opening dimensional pathways to other worlds. These gateways conceal secrets, puzzles, and dangers tied to the restoration of Hallfein, as the pair deciphers lost languages and unravels the mysteries of alchemy.
Town Development System
In addition to the classic alchemy and gathering loop that Atelier fans know, Atelier Resleriana introduces a new town development system. By visiting Star Landing, players can invest money earned from quests and synthesis into five different districts of Hallfein.
As districts develop, their level and rank will unlock perks like better items in merchants’ stocks, more effective gathering, and access to new recipes. Shops will evolve, and new visitors, including series veterans like Marie, Meruru, Firis, and Platcha, will appear in town, offering short events and Bond Quests with valuable rewards.
The look of Hallfein itself will visibly change as players rebuild it, giving a sense of growth and progress alongside the main story.
Editions and Season Pass Content
Alongside the standard version, a Digital Deluxe Edition will be available, including character costumes and a special item pack. A Season Pass adds:
- Extra background soundtracks
- Additional Dimensional Path dungeons with high difficulty
- Costumes inspired by Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
- Bonus ingredients, synthesis items, and combat equipment
- Playable heroines from Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Polar Night Liberator
Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian will feature Japanese voice acting with English text only and is being developed as a fully offline RPG, requiring no internet connection.
