Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will receive its first major free content update on October 30, introducing the all-new online multiplayer mode Fox Hunt. The announcement was made during the “Metal Gear – Production Hotline” stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
Fox Hunt Brings Stealth to Online Multiplayer
Fox Hunt drops up to 12 players into the series’ signature jungle environments for survival-driven, hide-and-seek gameplay. Staying true to the tactical espionage roots of Metal Gear, players must use stealth, positioning, and survival skills to outlast rivals in tense, high-stakes encounters.
As a candidate member of the covert unit “FOX,” players will enter survival-style training missions, relying on field scavenging to procure weapons and gear.
Two Multiplayer Modes
Fox Hunt launches with two distinct game modes:
- Survival Capture – A multi-phase mission where players hunt down Kerotan frogs. With their numbers dwindling as the match progresses, clashes grow more intense as players race to secure the final frogs and survive.
- Survival Intrude – A zone-control mode where players must occupy shrinking zones. Stealth, adaptability, and clever positioning become critical as safe areas narrow.
Stealth Tools Return with a Twist
Players will have access to classic stealth-inspired tools:
- AT-Camo Suit – Standard gear that lets players instantly change camouflage patterns to match the environment, perfect for ambushes or evasion.
- Naked Sense – A mechanic that detects nearby enemies and item locations, helping players make tactical decisions mid-match.
Together, these tools bring Metal Gear’s signature blend of survival and subterfuge to a competitive online arena.
When and Where to Play
Fox Hunt will arrive as a free update on October 30, 2025, for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
