Distinct Possibility Studios has announced that the Foundation event for their upcoming open-world persistent shooter, Reaper Actual, will kick off on October 6, 2025. Foundation members will be the first to step foot on Marova, a massive battlefield where hundreds of players clash in FPS combat against each other and five hostile NPC factions.
What is Reaper Actual?
Reaper Actual aims to deliver a large-scale, persistent warzone where battles unfold in real time across an evolving open world. Players can build and defend bases, fight rival factions, and join large-scale firefights as part of the struggle for control of Marova.
Foundation players will not only be the first boots on the ground but will also help shape the game through feedback as it evolves toward its Early Access launch in 2026.
Foundation Alpha and Bundles
The Foundation Alpha opens October 6, giving bundle purchasers access to unique perks, including:
- Up to four exclusive Reaper characters, unavailable after Series 1 sells out.
- A Bunker Base at a randomized location (all bundles).
- An additional Warehouse Base in the Stygian Oath Bundle.
- Guaranteed access to early playtests with the developers.
- Special Discord roles and evolving perks as development continues.
Each Reaper comes with unique loadouts, and both characters and bases can evolve as the game develops. Quantities are limited, so securing a bundle early is key for those who want to participate in the first wave of testing.
Marketplace and Player Choice
Foundation buyers can pick up standard items via the Epic Games Store, while those who choose the optional Web3-powered Etherlink version will gain access to a separate marketplace where tradable Reapers, bases, and cosmetics can be exchanged. Importantly, Distinct Possibility Studios stresses that blockchain features will remain optional and never affect gameplay balance.
