Super Stardust HD Dev Working on New IP’s

It seems that Finnish Developers Housemarque are working on some brand new IP’s, one exclusively on the PS3, the other multiplatform. Currently one is called Robe and the other is unnamed.

“They’re both in matters we haven’t dealt with before,” said CEO Ilari Kuittinen. “One of the games is a PSN exclusive for Sony again, continuing our good relationship with them. And that’s gonna be as far as we know, announced at [GamesCom 2009 this August in] Cologne.”

“We are doing also currently our first multiplatform game, for a leading publisher,” he continued. “Again, something different from the past. We haven’t done this kind of a game genre before.”

“What we’ve been able to accomplish in the last 6 months is pitch new IPs for downloadable games. Most of the games out there are new versions of older games, it seems. We’ve been lucky enough to sell our own ideas to publishers.”

Good thing there is a good chance I’m going to Gamescon, so I can keep you updated when the time finally comes.
